The Africana collection includes social, political and economic history, as well as languages and literature of Africa. Current journals in these fields are accessible from the first basement of the William Cullen Library. Africana collection is particularly rich in publications reflecting missionary activities in the 19th century Southern Africa, the development of British interest in Africa and colonization, and the decolonization/independence experience of the continent.
