Visitors to the library will find a wide arrange of facilties catering to the different needs of its users. Large tables, lounge seating, Zeta Scanner, 3 group project rooms, reading room area and a quiet study and research zone cater for your specific needs.
GROUP PROJECT ROOMS: 3 Group project rooms in the West wing of the library, with power and campus network connection and a SMART BOARD in one of the rooms. Groups of 3 or more Engineering students have priority access. A group can reserve one of the rooms for a specific date and time at the Circulation Desk or e-mail Pinky Matai: pinky.matai@wits.ac.za // tel: (011) 717-1975.
LOUNGE AREA: Casual seating at the library entrance overlooking the West campus.
READING ROOM: Facility for group or individual undergraduate students in the West wing of the library.
QUIET ZONE: The east wing of the library is the designated quiet research and study zone.
The GOLD FIELDS ENGINEERING LIBRARY is located on the ground floor of the Chamber of Mines Building on the West Campus.
