Workshops

The library's Information Literacy training programme is designed to provide support to students and staff undertaking research. Courses follow the research cycle and should help you identify, plan, gather, evaluate and manage research information.

Workshops include demonstration of subject specific sources: databases, e-books, e-journals, theses, and provides tips on effective literature searching, citing and referencing options.

Workshops take place between March through to October every year. Some workshops are repeated but not all. Programme changes happen - please check workshop dates and times before you set out. Please book for your workshops and please cancel if you cannot make it.

The Wits Writing Centre is for anyone at Wits who wants to work on their writing: for those who already write well and for those who would like to write even better.

Humanities Graduate Centre
The HGC is the hub of intellectual and social life for humanities and social science students. Quiet study spaces are offered. Staff is available to provide students with information about student life, academic requirements, funding opportunities, and more.
