Open Access Publishing @ Wits: Cambridge University Press (CUP)

• SANLiC (South African National Library & Information Consortium) has negotiated an agreement with Cambridge University Press (CUP) to support Open Access publishing.

•  The Read & Publish agreement allows unlimited Open Access publishing in  all CUP gold- and hybrid open access journals, without incurring any Article Processing Charges, for the period Jan 2021 to Dec 2024. Being a member of SANLiC the contract with Wits University is effective January 1st, 2021.

University of the Witwatersrand faculty, students, and staff continue to receive unlimited and unrestricted access to all Cambridge University Press journals content. • Submit your research using your institutional affiliation (ideally using ORCID). Please note that eligibility is based on the corresponding author's affiliation
• Upon acceptance, choose the Gold Open Access option in your author publishing agreement form and select a creative commons licence
• Authors are advised to check any funder or institutional mandates, for example research-funded authors may need to choose CC-BY (Creative Commons Attribution License)
