ABOUT THE AGREEMENT

  • SANLiC (South African National Library & Information Consortium) has negotiated an agreement with SAGE Publishing to support Open Access publishing.

  • As a member of SANLiC, Wits has signed an agreement with SAGE Publishing for the period 2022-2024.

  • The Read & Publish agreement allows authors affiliated with SANLiC institutions to:

    • publish in Hybrid Open Access journals in the current Sage Premier collection with no charge to the author

    • publish in Gold Open Access journals with a 20% discount on Article Processing Charges (APCs).

INSTRUCTIONS & ELIGIBILITY

  • Authors in subscription journals do not need to take any action to benefit from this offer. Once an accepted article has been received into SAGE’s Production department, SAGE will contact all eligible authors informing them of the Open Access agreement with SANLiC inviting them to the SAGE Open Access Portal to take up the offer.
