Royal Society Read & Publish 2022-2024

ABOUT THE AGREEMENT

  • SANLiC (South African National Library & Information Consortium) has negotiated an agreement with the Royal Society to support Open Access publishing for the period 2022-2024.

  • The Read & Publish agreement allows Wits authors to:

    • publish open access in Royal Society's journals (also listed below) with no charge to the author:                                                       

      • Biology Letters   
      • Interface Focus                                           
      • Journal of the Royal Society Interface                         
      • Notes and Records of the Royal Society                        
      • Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A       
      • Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B       
      • Proceedings of the Royal Society A                              
      • Proceedings of the Royal Society B

ELIGIBILITY

  • If you are a Wits author you are eligible as Wits is a participating institution of the Royal Society Read & Publish agreement
  • Working with a team of researchers? Only the corresponding author needs to belong to an institution with a Read & Publish agreement. 
  • During the submission process, simply state details of your institution (and use your institutional e-mail address), select the ‘Read & Publish’ option and the Royal Society will do the rest.
