IOPscience Extra - Read & Publish agreement (2023-2025)

 

ABOUT THE AGREEMENT

  • SANLiC (South African National Library & Information Consortium) has negotiated an agreement with Institute of Physics to support Open Access publishing for the period Jan 2023 to Dec 2025. Being a member of SANLiC the contract with Wits University is effective January 1st, 2023.

  • Read more about SANLIC's Open Access agreement with IOPscience Extra here.

  • The Read & Publish agreement allows:

    • Read access to more that 70 scholarly journals, including the Journal of Physics Series back to 1874.

    • unlimited Open Access publishing in the following eligible IOP hybrid and gold open access journals, without incurring any Article Processing Charges:

INSTRUCTIONS & ELIGIBILITY
  • All corresponding authors that are current staff members, researchers (permanent, temporary and visiting), or students at  Wits University, can publish open access at no cost to themselves.
  • Articles accepted from 1st January 2023 will be eligible for transformative agreement funding to enable authors to publish open access with no cost to themselves
  • The following publishing types are included with the agreement: research papers, special issues, letters and review articles
