Sciverse (Scopus & ScienceDirect) for iPhones

SciVerse Mobile Applications are apps to help you research where you are and where you need to be.  These mobile apps help you gain access to the latest abstracts, articles and books from SciVerse Scopus and SciVerse ScienceDirect. You can access exactly the same journals from your iPhone. The screen is smaller but the familiar content is all there. With SciVerse ScienceDirect iPhone app, you can look up and read a paper, share the PDF, or just explore what's out there at anytime.

First you need to register:

To register in the SciVerse ScienceDirect iPhone app you will need to provide your username and password as registered at sciencedirect.com. To access the full spectrum of content, you will need to register online within your library's network, at www.sciencedirect.com/science/newregistration

Once you have supplied this information, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. You must click on the link provided in this e-mail to activate your access to SciVerse ScienceDirect iPhone app. You will only need to confirm your email once.

To validate your e-mail address:

  1. An email will be sent to the e-mail address you provided containing a link. You must click on the link to validate your access to SciVerse ScienceDirect iPhone app.
  2. It is recommended that you validate your e-mail address from the iPhone as it will launch the app automatically.
  3. Until you validate your e-mail address, you may not be able to access full content.
  4. If you have forgotten to validate your e-mail address, the next time you launch the app from a non WiFi IP range, you will be reminded to do so.
