Writing the Review

✍️ Writing the Review

Writing your manuscript actually begins long before you start drafting! 📝 Much of what you include in your review protocol can serve as a foundation for your article, making a well-structured protocol essential. ✅

📌 Key Considerations:
Using a Reporting Guideline? PRISMA is widely used for systematic reviews, but journals may have specific standards—check submission guidelines!
Refer to Your Protocol! Your introduction and a large portion of your methods section should already be outlined there.
👥 Acknowledge All Contributors! Ensure all team members, including your librarian, have the chance to review and contribute if they are listed as authors.
Include Your Search Strategies! Your librarian can provide fully reproducible search strategies to include as supplementary material.

Reporting Guidelines:
PRISMA Checklist – Covers 27 essential items for reporting systematic reviews 🔬
📊 PRISMA for Scoping Reviews – A 20-item checklist for synthesizing evidence and assessing literature scope 📚

A well-organized review ensures clarity, accuracy, and transparency—making your work more impactful! 🚀
