Welcome to WHSL

The Witwatersrand Health Sciences Library (WHSL) was established in 1923 as the Witwatersrand Medical Library, to support the medical practitioners on the Witwatersrand. WHSL has incorporated the Dental Library collection since the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry merged to become the Faculty of Health Sciences. WHSL's primary mission is to support the teaching & learning and research activities of students and staff of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand.
