It is essential to back up your EndNote Library
Here we will show you how to use the “Save a copy” method.
Open EndNote
Click on File
Click on Save a copy
Save the file in your desired location, as the EndNote Library (*.enl) type
Note:
· There is a difference between a backup and an export. The export is simply a text file, while the backup is be an entire EndNote library with the suffix “.enl”
· You can use this method also to move your entire EndNote Library to a different workstation.
